Laura Simmelink

Laura is the Senior Director of Programs and leads community grantmaking initiatives, ensuring the Foundation’s funding is aligned with strategic focus areas and mission.

Laura previously served as a development director in the nonprofit sector and as a nonprofit consultant specializing in fundraising, governance, and organizational development.

Laura moved to Naples in 2015 and is a graduate of the Leadership Collier Class of 2017. She currently serves on the Government Relations Committee at the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and belongs to various professional associations. Her previous civic and volunteer work includes grant-making committee work, board service, and other volunteering, as well as serving on the affordable housing advisory committee in her former community.

A Wisconsin native, Laura earned a BA from the University of North Carolina-Asheville, an MPA from American University in Washington, D.C., and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. In her free time, Laura enjoys biking, tennis, the water, and travel.
