Jennifer Suden joined Northern Trust in 2020 as a Senior Personal Investment Portfolio Manager. In this role, she works with affluent families to identify the relevant investment objectives and implement a customized solution for each client. On an ongoing basis, she monitors and evaluates the investment strategies to ensure they continue to address the clients’ needs. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Jennifer spent several years as a Portfolio Manager at Regions Bank, where she focused on creating portfolios that supported the clients’ investment objectives, while also leading the tactical asset allocation team. Prior to that, she spent more than ten years focused on the Alternative Investments space, culminating in her role as Director of Research for Alternative Investments at Raymond James. She moved to Florida in 2011 from New York City, where she had spent 13 years working in the financial world, at firms that included Goldman Sachs and Bridgewater Associates.
Jennifer received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on Econometrics. She received her MBA from NYU Stern, specializing in Statistics and Marketing.
She holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) designation.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. She also likes to spend time outdoors, whether hiking, running, or swimming. As her children get older, she looks forward to being able to travel more often.
Jennifer has spent more than 20 years in the financial world, working across various asset classes, including stocks, bonds, hedge funds, fund of funds, and private equity funds. Her various roles have included a focus on risk management, fund research, portfolio construction, and client education. All of these disciplines are important inputs to portfolio management, and allow her to provide a holistic overview and perspective in order to provide the appropriate client solution.
