Further Your Path Through Higher Education

ONE APPLICATION, 70+ SCHOLARSHIPS

The Collier Scholars Common Application for the 2021-2022 academic year has closed. The application is typically open from November – February of each year.

Completing one Common Application online enters you into a selection process for more than 70+ scholarship funds.

Gather these items before you apply
  • List of awards/recognition received in the past 1-2 years
  • List of volunteer/employment/extracurricular activities in which you have participated in the last 1-2 years
  • Academic transcript from most recent semester
    • high school seniors must include first semester of senior year
  • Two letter(s) of recommendation from within the last year
  • An up-to-date resume
  • A recent high-quality photo of yourself
  • Answers to the following essay topics:
    • Describe your educational and career goals
    • Describe a person, event or activity that has helped shape you into who you are today
    • Of your extra-curricular, work and / or volunteer activities, which is the most meaningful? Please explain what made you want to become involved with that opportunity
  • The following financial information:
    • First two pages of your FAFSA Student Aid Report (FSA)
    • First two pages of most recent tax returns (2 year’s prior taxes—for the 2021-2022 academic year application, use 2019 taxes)
      • Applicants considered “dependent” for financial aid (FAFSA) purposes will need to submit their parents’ tax returns
      • Applications considered “independent” for financial aid (FAFSA) purposes will need to submit their own tax returns

Complete Common

Application

By submitting the Common Application, we will take the information provided to see which scholarships you qualify for. With one application, you'll be in the running for the $1+ million we award every year.

·         No incomplete or late applications will be accepted (Deadline is February 1)

 

Pro tip: File your FAFSA. Information from the FAFSA is important for scholarship and other opportunities.

Check Your Email

Scholarship committees comprised of trained volunteers will review applications. If your contact information changes after you submit your application, please email Laura Bidireanu, Director of Education/Scholarship, at LBidireanu@cfcollier.org.
