Marco Island Historical Society (MIHS) has received a generous grant from the Marco Island Community Fund of the Community Foundation of Collier County. The grant will provide funds for directional signage and interpretive panels for the Marco Island Historical Museum campus to enhance the visitor experience.
According to MIHS Executive Director Pat Rutledge, “With the help of the Marco Island Fund of the Community Foundation of Collier County, visitors to the Marco Island Historical Museum not only will have an easier time navigating the campus, they also will be better informed about our extensive outdoor exhibits. We are deeply grateful for this support.”

The Marco Island Historical Museum is located at 180 S. Heathwood Drive. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and the site is handicapped accessible.
